Ipswich Town and Wycombe Wanderers are back in League One action this Good Friday with both sides aiming to get back into the Championship as the Tractor Boys sit five places above the away side before this game.
Ipswich have returned to winning ways over the past month after struggles throughout 2023 at times, especially during February. The club come into this one having now won seven games in a row that has seen them keep seven clean sheets in a row. It means Ipswich are the most in-form side across the Football League right now having registered 18 goals in this seven-game winning run and even managed to beat Derby County 2-0 at Pride Park last weekend.
Kieran McKenna's side remain in third, however, with Plymouth Argyle just two clear of them now in League One. Sheffield Wednesday are also two clear of McKenna's side, although the league leaders do have a game in hand. Ipswich have managed to lose to fewest games this season with just four on the board and they are now the best defensive side and the best attacking side in the league with 31 goals let in and 74 goals scored from 38 games.
As for Wycombe, their struggles without Gareth Ainsworth and under Matt Bloomfield have continued over the past week with a 2-2 draw against strugglers MK Dons that saw David Wheeler net a brace.
Wycombe are sitting in eighth with 18 games won and 13 games lost. They are, however, one of the best defensive sides in the league with 38 goals let in and 53 goals scored.
