MK Dons vs. Morecambe Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our MK Dons vs. Morecambe prediction, we're going for a 1-0 win for the home side.

We have a genuine relegation six pointer in League One this weekend as MK Dons face Morecambe on Saturday.

MK Dons currently sit 20th in League One with ten wins, six draws and twenty-one losses from thirty-seven games this season.

MK Dons have had a truly awful campaign this season having spent almost the whole of it battling relegation despite entering the season as one of the league's promotion favourites.

They're coming into this game amidst a decent run of form following successive 1-0 wins in the league, the most recent of which was a huge win away at Accrington Stanley in another relegation six pointer.

Their form at hime is still a concern having won just one of their last five on home soil but having won their most recent home game they'll be hoping the forthcoming tend is upwards.

MK Dons are just one point clear of Accrington in 21st so there is still plenty of work to be done as far as securing safety is concerned. With regards to this game, MK Dons should very much be looking to secure all three points with home advantage on their side as losing to a side in the bottom four could be fatal at this stage.

Morecambe are currently 22nd in League One with seven wins, thirteen draws and eighteen losses from thirty-eight games this season.

Similar to their opponents, it's been a long season for The Shrimps who've spent almost its entirety attempting to pull away from the relegation battle with almost no success.

They enter this game in poor form having failed to win any of their last six league matches, drawing three and losing three.

Most recently Morecambe drew 1-1 with Oxford United, with the point secured via an 87th minute equaliser.

Their form away from home has been dismal, too, with The Shrimps drawing one and losing four of their last five games on the road.

Morecambe were beaten 2-0 by MK Dons back in August when the two sides met in the league so it's looking set to be another tough outing for them.

Considering MK Dons are coming into this game off the back of successive victories it feels like momentum will take them over the line against a Morecambe side that are struggling immensely.
