DW Stadium welcomes Wigan Athletic and Port Vale this Saturday in League One. Port Vale look to put some room between themselves and the relegation zone whereas Wigan aim for a spot in the top ten.
Wigan currently sit 12th in League One after 41 games. The Latics have 17 wins, eight draws and 16 losses, leaving them on 51 points, seven points behind tenth-place Leyton Orient.

Following the first half red card to Leyton Orient’s Ethan Galbraith, Jason Kerr scored the only goal of the game in the 77th minute to give Wigan the 1 - 0 win over Orient. However, the next time out for Wigan saw them on the wrong side of the 1 - 0 scoreline. An own goal from Sam Lloyd Tickle in the 19th minute gave Wycombe the win, despite Wigan having 18 shots and 67% of the possession.
The Latics were back to winning ways against Blackpool. Wigan scored with their only shot on target, with Scott Smith scoring in the 26th minute to give Wigan the 1 - 0 win. The visit from Burton saw an own goal from Sam Joseph Hughes give Wigan the 1 - 0 lead at halftime. However, early in the second half, John Brayford found the back of the net for Burton to rescue a 1 - 1 draw for The Brewers.
The last time out for Wigan was against Cambridge United. Gassan Ahadme opened the scoring early for Cambridge and doubled the lead before the hour mark. Martial Godo got Wigan in the game with 20 minutes to go but a goal from Danny Andrew gave Cambridge the 3 - 1 win.

However, Port Vale bounced back against Burton Albion. Port Vale left it late, but Ryan Loft found the back of the net in the 83rd minute to give Port Vale the 1 - 0 win, restricting Burton to two shots on target. Another win from Port Vale came against Bristol Rovers, with Ben Garrity and Baylee Dipepa both scoring in a 2 - 0 win.
