Wycombe Wanderers and Blackpool are set to clash this weekend in League One with both sides coming into this one off the back of tough starts to the new campaign where the Wanderers continue to struggle without Gareth Ainsworth.
Since the departure of Ainsworth to Queens Park Rangers, the club have struggle to find any sort of consistency, miss out on the playoffs last year, and already sit down in 10th right now ahead of this one.
Currently, Wycombe have scored just six goals in their six games so far and now head into this match with only one loss in the past five games. Ultimately, they are, at the very least, in the midst of their best run of form right now with the club having defeated Northampton Town on the road this past weekend thanks to another finish from Gareth McCleary.
Before this, however, they did lose to Sutton United in the EFL Cup second round, although Matt Bloomfield did also guide his side to another away win where they defeated Bristol Rovers with a finish each from Joe Low and McCleary.
Further results this season have seen them draw with Burton Albio, beat Leyton Orient and lost to Lincoln City while beating MK Dons in the first round of the EFL Cup.
As for Blackpool, they stunningly went on a run of four consecutive 0-0n draws this past month, and a recent 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic before the international break has move them two spots behind Wycombe in 10th.
Blackpool defeated Barrow 2-0 in midweek as well during a Football League Trophy group stage game, as the club also managed to lose 5-0 to Wolves in EFL Cup second round.
