Wycombe vs. Forest Green Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Wycombe vs. Forest Green prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.

Wycombe Wanderers continue their play-off push as they face Forest Green Rovers in League One on Monday.

Wycombe currently sit 8th in League One with eighteen wins, eight draws and fourteen losses from forty games this season.

Wycombe have done well to catapult themselves into play-off contention after a poor start to the season but the departure of manager Gareth Ainsworth to Queens Park Rangers has somewhat derailed their bid to land a top six finish.

Still, they're not too far away from the play-off spots but their form has dipped heavily in recent weeks having won two and drawn two of their last four matches.

Their most recent game saw them comprehensively battered by 2nd place Ipswich Town by a 4-0 scoreline at the weekend, a result that significantly dashes their now faint hopes of making the postseason.

Their form at home isn't too bad coming into this game having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games on home soil so they can lean into that ahead of this clash.

Wycombe need to win the majority of their remaining six games in order to try and make up what is a five point gap between them and the top six, and fortunately for them they have an opportunity to bring their winless run to an end as they face the league's worst side here.

Forest Green Rovers currently sit rock bottom of League One with six wins, eight draws and twenty-six losses from forty games this season.

It's been a tough campaign for a newly promoted Forest Green side that are looking pretty much certain to drop back down to League Two come May.

They enter this game in abysmal form having won just one of their last twenty matches while losing four of their last five games.

Their most recent outing saw them lost 0-2 at home to Derby County in a result that confirmed a third loss in four games without scoring a single goal in those defeats.

Their record away from home is equally poor having failed to win any of their last nineteen league games on the road while losing their last four in a row.

Wycombe ran out comfortable 2-0 winners when these two met in the league back in November and despite being in poor form they'll fancy themselves to make it a league double.

Forest Green are thirteen points from safety with six games remaining and are as good as relegated. How much fight they have left remains to be seen but their fate is likely now sealed.

              Wycombe Team News

Wycombe could ring the changes here following a 4-0 battering at the hands of Ipswich Town with Chen Campbell, Jay De Barr and Garath McCleary all pushing for recalls.

Wycombe have no fresh injury worries here.

              Forest Green Team News

Matt Stevens is a doubt for a Forest Green side that could bring Tyrese Omotoye and Oliver Casey back into the fold for this one.
