Wycombe Wanderers continue their play-off push in League One as they face Lincoln City this weekend.
Wycombe Wanderers currently sit 8th in League One with twenty wins, eight draws and fifteen losses from forty-three games this season.
Wycombe have had a solid campaign following a play-off final appearance last season, but if they do not finish in the top six this time around they could be left to rue a poor start to the season that has them in the bottom half in November.
From December onwards they started to find their feet and have gone on to cement themselves as a play-off contender, but their place is far from assured as they sit four points shy of Bolton Wanderers in 6th.
They enter this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn one and lost one of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 2-1 win away at Cambridge United.
Despite Cambridge's lowly league position that win should not be scoffed at as Cambridge entered that game in very strong form having already toppled a couple of the league's better sides.
Wycombe are generally very strong at home too having lost just one of their last eight games on home soil and they'll have to channel act resolve here as they have to win all of their remaining games to stand a chance of finishing in the top six, regardless of how small that chance may be.
Lincoln City currently sit 11th in League Two with twelve wins, twenty draws and ten losses from forty-two games this season.
The Imps have had a solid but forgettable campaign as they look set for an unremarkable mid-table finish.
They do look determined to end to the season strongly, at least, as they enter this game having won three and draw two of their last five games.
Their most recent game was a 0-0 draw against Barnsley, a result that mean they've now taken five points off three of the current top four in their last five outings.
They've struggled away from home of late having won just one of their seven games on the road, but that win came against league leaders Plymouth Argyle in their most recent away game so that could be a sign of what's to come here.
Lincoln drew 0-0 with Wycombe back in December and this game will likely be equally competitive. Given the success they've had against promotion contenders in recent weeks Lincoln will be confident of a win here.
For our Wycombe vs. Lincoln prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
