Northampton Town head to Wycombe Wanderers this weekend with the club aiming to end a lengthy winless run just as they remain in the top half of the League One table while Wycombe look to do the same.
Wycombe have had a poor season so far and a spot in the playoffs once more seems very unlikely. The club come into this game having won two fewer games than Northampton's tally, and they also have three fewer points and therefore sit in 14th.
Northampton, however, are the ones currently on a winless run after another midweek defeat. This saw them lose at home to Blackpool after a 1-1 draw with Cambridge United and Charlton Athletic. Peterborough United also smashed them 5-1 just over two weeks ago, meaning no wins so far in March for them.
The last victory for Jon Brady's side was in a 2-0 win over Burton Albion, as Marc Leonard and Mitch Pinnock netted a goal each in the first half. They have also managed to defeat Bristol Rovers 3-1 with another goal each from Pinnock and Leonard, alongside a finish from Patrick Brough.
Goals have dried up for Sam Hoskins in recent weeks and he has consequently been dropped. League Two's top scorer from last season does still have 14 goals in League One but he has not scored since January which means an 11-game goalless run.
Wycombe have won both of their games in the past week after a 1-0 victory over Wigan Athletic thanks to an own goal in midweek. The Wanderers also defeated Reading on the road before this thanks to a finish each from Nigel Lonwijk and Beryly Lubala.
