Wycombe vs. Shrewsbury Prediction, Tips & Stats

Wycombe Wanderers continue their search for a sorely needed win in League One as they face Shrewsbury Town this weekend.

Wycombe Wanderers currently sit 15th in League One with six wins, four draws and eight losses from eighteen games this season.

It's been a poor season thus far for Wycombe who are struggling to find their feet this season.

They're entering this game in very poor form having failed to win any of their last seven games in the league.

Their latest league outing saw them fall to a 1-0mwin away at Barnsley, a result that confirmed their third straight league defeat.

Their form at home hasn't been much better either, with Wycombe having failed to win any of their last four games at home.

There's little going Wycombe's way at the minute and with them now only six points clear of the relegation zone they'll be nervously looking over their shoulder.

They desperately need three points here but given their form that is far from assured.

Shrewsbury Town currently sit 12th in League One with seven wins, three draws and ten losses from twenty games this season.

The Shrews are maintaining their reputation as a consistently mid-table team in this division as they perch directly in the middle of the table without looking like a team that will be much else.

They're coming into this game in decent form, in fairness, having taken seven points from their last four league games, the most recent of which was a 0-0 draw away at Exeter City.

They followed that up with a solid 3-2 win away at Notts County in the FA Cup with a Ryan Bowman hat-trick sending them through to the next round.

Away from home Shrewsbury have really struggled in the league having failed to win any of their last nine league fixtures on the road.

Given how badly Wycombe are struggling Shrewsbury should see this as a huge opportunity to claim a much-needed away win in the league.

Whether they get that remains to be seen but Shrewsbury's poor showings away from home make this one tough to call.

For our Wycombe vs. Shrewsbury prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Dale Taylor should retain his spot in the starting XI after an impressive showing in the EFL Trophy in midweek while Lyle Taylor may also continue up top.

Youngster Joe Low is also hoping to continue his impressive performances at the heart of the defence.

                Shrewsbury Team News

Ryan Bowman and Daniel Udoh are hoping to continue their goalscoring exploits here.

The Shrews should stick with the same starting lineup that drew with Exeter in their last outing.
