Accrington Stanley will welcome Mansfield Town to to the Wham Stadium after a topsy-turvy run in the past few weeks for John Coleman's men that sees his side eighth in League Two.
Stanley have managed to secure three wins in the past four games and only fallen to a loss away to Notts County in a game that saw Josh Andrews equalise at the time before two goals in the second half from Notts. Accrington did have six shots on target at Meadow Lane that day, but were poor in defence once more.
In fact, despite sitting eighth in the league and looking like putting together a solid run towards the playoffs this seson, Stanley have not kept a clean sheet in the past seven games since battering Newport County at home in the league on the opening weekend.
The club would head out at the first round in the EFL Cup first round following a 1-1 draw and penalty shootout loss to Bradford City, as they then went on to lose to Gillingham and deew with Barrow.
Stanley returned to the win column with a 2-1 victory at home to Harrogate Town before defeating Salford City by the same scoreline away from home. Last time out, the club managed to beat Carlisle United in the Football League Trophy group stages with a 1-0 home victory.
As for Mansfield, they are just one spot above Stanley in the table in seventh as they look to get into the playoffs for the third year in a row. So far, the club have managed to beat last campaign's League Two playoff finalists, Stockport County, as George Maris scored in the first half before a second half brace from KD Davis.
Elsewhere, Nigel Clough's men are also into the third round of the EFL Cup after a second round penalty shootout win over Sheffield Wednesday.
Clough's side have also managed to defeat Morecambe this season and draw with Doncaster Rovers and Grimsby Town, while also racking up a draw last time out at home to Bradford City. This does, however, mean just two wins on the board and four draws from six games, despite being one of only three unbeaten sides in League Two right now.
