Wimbledon and Doncaster Rovers head into this game at the Cherry Red Records Stadium off the back of wins in the Football League Trophy but there is still a lot of work to be done in League Two right now.
An early run towards the top five for Wimbledon saw them put together an excellent run, but they have since dropped down into 11th and have not won in League One for the past six games since beating Harrogate Town where Omar Bugiel scored a goal after six minutes in a 1-0 victory.
The club have since gone on to draw 0-0 with Mansfield Town and lose 1-0 to Bradford City before drawing in another goalless game with Barrow. They would then go on to lose to Accrington Stanley after taking the lead on two occasions. Morecambe also smashed them 4-1 last time out, meaning they dropped from fifth to 11th all within one month.
They have, however, gone on to beat Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup first round with a brace from James Tilley and goals from Josh Davison, Connor Lemonheight-Evans and Ali Al-Hamadi. Josh Davison was also the hero in the recent Crystal Palace U21 match in midweek
As for Doncaster, things are even worse for them by sitting down in 17th and once again struggling to establish themselves as contenders in the top half of the table. They did defeat Burton Albion 2-1 last time out, as Moudu Faal and Kyle Hurst scored a goal each before a late goal from Burton.
It's a tough game to call on current form, but Wimbledon should edge out a win.
