Barrow vs. Wimbledon Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Barrow vs. Wimbledon prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.

Barrow are looking to keep their faint play-off hopes alive in League Two this weekend as they face AFC Wimbledon.

Barrow currently sit 10th in League Two with fifteen wins, seven draws and fifteen losses from thirty-seven games.

Barrow's season has been somewhat of a rollercoaster in terms of form having fluctuated between the play-off spots and mid-table on numerous occasions.

They enter this game amid a solid run of form on the whole having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last four matches.

They are, though, coming into this game off the back of a loss having lost 1-0 to Harrogate Town last time out. Barrow will be looking to rebound immediately here to try not to lose too much momentum in view of a late play-off push.

Their home form has actually been quite a concern of late having won only one of their last five home matches, something they'll have to rectify quickly if they're to secure a top seven finish.

Barrow are seven points shy of the top seven and while a play-off spot is a long shot for them their hopes are still alive. A home game against a woefully out of form Wimbledon side is a must-win.

AFC Wimbledon currently sit 17th in League Two with ten wins, thirteen draws and fourteen losses from thirty-seven games this season.

Wimbldeon's season has been a strange one in that they started the season abysmally before embarking upon a strong run of form mid-season that has effectively secured survival for them despite regressing back to their original level over the past few months.

They enter this game amongst a dismal run of form having failed to win any of their last ten matches in the league, drawing one and losing four of their last five.

Their most recent game saw them fall to a highly disappointing 0-1 defeat t home to relegation strugglers Crawley Town.

Their form away from home is equally poor having failed to win any of their last five games on the road.

Wimbledon were also beaten by Barrow 0-1 when they locked horns in the league back in August so things aren't looking promising here.

Wimbledon are fortunate that they claimed enough points mid-season to effectively secure survival as their form has been so poor over the past few months that they would almost certainly be deep in the relegation scrap. As far as this game is concerned they will likely walk away empty handed.
