Barrow vs. Carlisle United Prediction, Tips & Stats

Carlisle United are looking to keep the pressure on the top three in League Two as they face Barrow this weekend.

Barrow currently sit 9th in League Two with eighteen wins, eight draws and seventeen losses from forty-three games this season.

It's been a solid season for Barrow who were largely expected to battle relegation for the majority of the campaign but have instead positioned themselves as play-off contenders just weeks before the season's close.

Their chances of a top seven finish are diminishing by the week, though, as they enter this game in fairly poor form having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five matches.

Their most recent game saw them fall to a 1-0 defeat away at Grimsby Town, a disappointing result given what is on the line at this stage of the campaign.

They can at least be encouraged by their home form coming into this game, though, which has seen them win their last three consecutive games on their own patch while reigning unbeaten in their last six on home soil.

This is a stern test for Barrow but given they're now seven points shy of the top seven it's one they need to take three points from to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Carlisle United currently sit 5th in League Two with nineteen wins, fifteen draws and nine losses from forty-three games this season.

Carlisle have had a fine campaign as they continue to chase promotion to League One but there is concern over their form heading into the final three games of the campaign as they appear to be tailing off at the wrong time.

Carlisle were in 3rd place at one point but their place in the top seven is currently at risk as they enter this game having won just one of their last eight matches.

Their most recent game saw them draw 2-2 at home to Stockport County, a disappointing result given they went 2-1 up in the 83rd minute only to concede an equaliser just three minutes later.

Their form away from home is a concern too, with Carlisle drawing two and losing two of their last four games on the road.

Carlisle can take confidence from the fact they battered Barrow 5-1 back in January, but their opponents are different proposition when playing at home and won't go down so easily here.

Carlisle are four points shy of Stevenage in 3rd and only three points ahead of Mansfield Town in 8th so anything can happen from here. Regardless, though, three points is a just from this one.

For our Barrow vs. Carlisle prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
