Barrow vs Salford Prediction, Tips & Stats

Barrow and Salford City will come into this game off the back of two of the best results of their respective seasons with the home side aiming to get closer to the playoff spots once more with the club now up into 11th after another win.

Barrow defeated Stockport County last time out thanks to a goal from Joshua Kay at home. They were just the second team to beat County in 2023 and they are now up into 11th and behind the fifth-placed Stockport by seven points and have got their playoff march right back on track.

The club have played more games than most around them already and with them playing once more here, it does mean Barrow will enter the weekend's games having played three more games than Bradford City in eighth and even two more than Swindon Town in 10th.

Salford smashed Mansfield Town last weekend in what was arguably the best result of their 2022/23 season. Matty Lund scored twice that day, as Callum Hendry netted another alongside goals from Theo Vassell and Luke Bolton.

          Barrow team news

Rory Feeley was sent off a few weeks back against Newport County but he will be able to play here after his suspension ended. There are still other injuries to worry about and Barrow continued to put forth just six substitutions each game ahead. Bill Waters is ready to return to the starting XI after missing the recent win over Stockport County. Joshua Kay will still sit up top but Garner will drop out it seems. Elliot Newby, Neal, White and Gotts are all expected to stay in midfield with Brough on the right hand side. We expected McClelland, Ray and Canavan all to play in the back three here too. Sam Foley and Jake Young could feature here as well, with Tyrell Warren potentially starting this one.

          Salford team news

Salford's excellent 5-2 win over Mansfield away from home likely means the club keep up the same starting XI in this one. Louie Barry should stay on the left hand side, although Callum Morton and Conor McAleny should get minutes in this game as well. Callym Hendry should play here up top once more as well, with Luke Bolton potentially starting on the right once again. Watson and Matty Lund should start in the midfield here once more, as the latter scored twice in the last outing. Theo Vassell also scored in the game over the weekend from the back and he will feature here with Touray, Leak and Lowe.
