It's the biggest game in League Two this weekend when Carlisle United welcomes Northampton Town to Brunton Park with both sides eyeing up a spot in League One for next season with fourth set to meet with second in the fourth tier.
With the two being so close by in the table, Carlisle are priced at 23/20 to win this game with the away side down at 12/5 as there is barely anything to separate them right now. In fact, the gap is just three points in favour of Northampton with Carlisle sitting just behind Stockport County in third by goals difference having let in 37 goals and scored 60 from 41 games.
The alarming factor for the Brunton Park faithful is how they see Stevenage also on level points but behind their side on goals difference and with a game in hand.
Carlisle have had a troublesome time in April so far and with a loss to Leyton Orient and a draw with Walsall, it means they have only beaten Tranmere Rovers in the past month after also losing to Gillingham away from home and drawing 0-0 with Stevenage and Bradford City.
As for Northampton Town, they are behind Leyton Orient at the top of the table by eight points and with the London side having a game in hand too, we are unlucky to see the Cobblers make it into first place this season and they are likely to have to settle for second.
The club managed to edge past Gillingham 2-1 last time out thanks to another goal from Louis George Appere and a late finish from Will Hondermarck. The Cobblers stunningly lost 3-0 on the road to Newport County just before that, as they also drew 1-1 with Stevenage in April. Nevertheless, the defeat to Newport is the only one on the board for Northampton since losing to Grimsby Town midway through February.
Only three points keep these two apart and with Leyton Orient so far ahead in the League Two table, it makes this game arguably the biggest one of the season in the fourth tier. With this in mind and with so many draws for Carlisle recently, we're backing another game where the points are shared.
