League Two action kicks off on Friday night this Christmas weekend with Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City set to clash at the Eco-Power Stadium with very little to bost of right now after a topsy-turvy League Two campaign.
It's been another struggle since day one for Doncaster, and the club now head into this game down in 19th and with very little to shout about. In fact, Rovers are now coming into this one off the back of a 5-0 battering from Morecambe on their own patch where the club had just two shots on target and conceded nine shots on target from the Shrimps.
They also drew 0-0 with Accrington Stanley before that, while a loss to Peterborough United in the FA Cup means just one win in December so far for Doncaster. That sole victory came in the Football League Trophy second round of fixtures, as Luke Molyneux, Kyle Hurst and Joe Ironside all got in on the act of a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest U21s.
The last win in the league saw Doncaster defeat Colchester United 3-1, as Ironside got in on the act once more alongside finishes from Modou Faal and James Maxwell.
Rovers lost to Crewe Alexandra and Wimbledon before that, and such results now keep them hovering just above the bottom two by nine points, while they have let in 36 goals and scored just 25 from their 21 fixtures so far. This has seen Doncaster lose 11 times and win just seven games.
As for Bradford, it's been another mediocre season for them with Mark Hughes facing the sack earlier in the campaign to make way for Graham Alexander. Not much as changed under Alexander, however, although the Bantams have now won five in a row as of late.
This run started with a sensational 5-1 battering over League One's Barnsley in the Football League Trophy group stages before wins over Accrington and Forest Green back in the league. Bradford beat Liverpool U21s 4-0 shortly after those wins and also managed to beat Gillingham last time out away from home to move them up into 14th in the table.
