A struggling Doncaster Rovers side are looking to start their ascent up the League Two table as they face Morecambe this weekend.
Doncaster Rovers currently sit 17th in League Two with seven wins, three draws and ten losses from twenty games this season.
After a fairly poor campaign last time out, Donny fans had hoped their side would give them something to shout about this time around but that's been far from the case up until now as they find themselves hovering above the relegation zone.
They're coming into this game amidst a mixed run of form having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 0-0 draw away at Accrington Stanley.
The point in Accrington was a solid one in fairness and it means they've now taken four points from their last two games so they're coming into this one in fairly solid shape.
Their league form at home has also been really encouraging with the Yorkshire side having won four of their last five games on home soil so they'll feel pretty confident of claiming another win here.
Despite being just three points clear of the relegation zone there are clear signs that Doncaster are a team capable of kicking on in this division if they can find a way to become more consistent. A win here would see them on seven points from their last three league games and would given them some notable momentum from which to build on.
Morecambe currently sit 12th in League Two with eight wins, four drawn and seven losses from nineteen games.
The Shrimps have had a fairly solid campaign thus far but there is some concern over their direction of travel.
After starting the season very impressively they've now fallen off dramatically as they fight to remain in the playoff hunt.
Their form in the league is a huge concern as they come into this game winless in their last five games having lost four of those.
Their latest league outing saw them claim a 1-1 draw at home to Stockport County, a good result all things considered and one they'll hope will help them kick on.
After beating Wycombe Wanderers, a side in the league above, in the FA Cup prior to that draw they're now coming into this game off the back of two very good results so they may now be armed with the confidence needed to kick on and regain their early season form.
For our Doncaster vs. Morecambe prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
