For our Doncaster vs. Northampton prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
Northampton Town continue their push for a top three finish in League Two this season as they face Doncaster Rovers.
Doncaster Rovers currently sit 12 in League Two with fifteen wins, six draws and sixteen losses from thirty-seven games this season.
Rovers have been up and and down form-wise this season but now look set to limp towards a mid-table finish despite sitting only eight points shy of the play-off places.
They enter this game amidst a poor run of form on the whole having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five matches.
Most recently, Doncaster were held to a 1-1 draw against a Crawley Town side fighting for their lives at the the bottom of the league table.
Doncaster's home form has still been fairly solid in fairness, with Rovers winning three and losing two of their last five games on home soil.
It's highly unlikely at this point that Doncaster will be consistent enough to make a late run for a top seven finish even though they're in relatively close proximity to the play-off places in terms of points. Their season appears to be slowly petering out into insignificance and this game will likely result in another defeat for the Yorkshire side.
Northampton Town currently sit 4th in League Two with eighteen wins, twelve draws and seven losses from thirty-seven games this season.
The Cobblers have had a fine campaign for the most part this season but will be slightly frustrated at having sacrificed their spot in the automatic promotion places a few weeks back amidst a poor run of form.
However, their form is now back on track and they're closing the gap on Carlisle in 3rd as they enter this game having won three and drawn one of their last four matches in the league.
Most recently Northampton beat Crewe Alexandra 1-0, a result that confirmed a second win on the bounce and a third clean sheet in four games.
The Cobblers' form away from home has been slightly more rocky having won two and drawn three of their last five games on the road having drawn against both sides in the relegation zone in that period.
Northampton were beaten 0-1 by Doncaster when the two sides met in the league back in August so they'll want to get one back here and given Doncaster's form they should fancy themselves to take three points despite showing some vulnerability away from home.
