          Doncaster Rovers vs Sutton United Preview, Tips & Stats

          Sutton United make the trip to the Eco-Power Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers this weekend in a big weekend in League Two. Both sides sit near the bottom of the table and need the three points to challenge for safety.

          Doncaster currently sit 20th in League Two after 12 games. The Rovers have three wins, two draws and seven losses, leaving them on 11 points, just a point away from the relegation zone.

          In their last five games in all competitions, Doncaster have two wins and two losses. Ben Close opened the scoring in the 12th minute for Doncaster in their game against Gillingham. Conor Masterson equalised before halftime, in the added time of the first half. Close popped up with his second goal of the game in the 87th minute to give Doncaster the 2 - 1 win. However, Doncaster were then on the losing side against Barrow. Joe Ironside and Modou Faal both scored but goals from Tyrell Warren, Gerard Garner and Emile Acquah gave Barrow the 3 - 2 win.

          Ironside and Faal both scored once again for Doncaster, but this time to beat Crawley Town 2 - 0 but Doncaster were once again on the losing side against Stockport as Isaac Olaofe scored the only goal in the 1 - 0 win for Stockport.

          Doncaster’s last time out was against Mansfield Town in the Group stage of the Football League Trophy. Close and Ironside scored for Doncaster but a brace from James Gale and a goal from Callum Johnson gave Mansfield the 3 - 2 win.

          The last time out for Sutton was against Crawley in the Group stage of the Football League Trophy. After a 0 - 0 draw, the tie went to penalties. Harry Forster missed his penalty to give Sutton the 5 - 4 win.
