For our Hartlepool vs. Leyton Orient prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the away side.
Two sides at opposite ends of the table meet in League Two this weekend as Leyton Orient travel to face Hartlepool United.
Hartlepool United currently sit 23rd in League Two with six wins, thirteen draws and eighteen losses from thirty-seven games this season.
It's been a dismal campaign for Hartlepool who are currently fighting for their lives to avoid dropping out of the football league, with their prospects looking increasingly more slim as the weeks pass by.
They enter this game having failed to win any of their last eight matches, but having lost only one of their last five there is optimism that they can make some slight adjustments and pick up a handful of crucial wins in their remaining nine games.
Hartlepool have drawn their last four consecutive matches, with two of those draws coming against sides currently in the top five, so slight improvements at their end of the field could yield some extremely fruitful results.
Their form at home has not been great, though, having drawn three and lost two of their last five matches on home soil.
Hartlepool are just two points shy of Crawley Town in 23rd so there's plenty left to play for. They do need some wins, though, so they're unfortunate that they have to play the league leaders in such a crucial time.
Leyton Orient currently sit top of League Two with twenty-one wins, ten draws and five losses from thirty-six games this season.
It's been a phenomenal campaign for Orient as they look to secure promotion to League One with just ten games remaining.
They do enter this game amidst a slightly disappointing run of results, though, having drawn their last three consecutive matches.
Most recently Leyton Orient drew 2-2 with Colchester United, a result that was much tougher to swallow considering they sacrificed a 2-0 lead with the two Colchester goals coming in the 89th and 92nd minutes.
They're still unbeaten in their last eight league games, though, and their record at home is even stronger having not lost any of their last thirteen matches on home soil in the league.
Orient beat Hartlepool 4-2 when the two sides met in the league back in August and despite their wobble in form they should expect themselves to repeat that result here.
They still have a nice cushion over Northampton Town in 4th as they sit seven points clear, but they need to build some winning momentum to see them over the finish line.
