For out Leyton Orient vs. Carlisle prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
We have an huge promotion clash in League Two this weekend as Leyton Orient face Carlisle United.
Leyton Orient currently sit top of League Two with twenty-one wins, eleven draws and five losses from thirty-seven games this season.
Orient have had a fine campaign in League Two this time around and despite having stuttered in terms of form in recent weeks they still find themselves in pole position to secure a huge promotion to League One with just nine games remaining.
They enter this game amidst s downturn in form having drawn their last four consecutive matches.
What is slightly concerning is that all of those games came against sides in the bottom half, so to emerge from that four-game run with just four points is mightily disappointing.
Their most recent game saw them to a 1-1 draw away at Hartlepool United, a side currently in the relegation zone, after conceding an equaliser in the 86th minute.
Leyton Orient's home form is still very good, however, having gone unbeaten in their last twelve games on home soil while winning three of their last five.
Despite their series of draws Orient should still see out promotion from here given they have an eight point cushion over this weekend's opponents Carlisle. Given the strength of their home form it's also a game they should win and if they do so the magnitude of the victory should get them back on track.
Carlisle United currently sit 4th in League Two with eighteen wins, twelve draws and eight losses from thirty-eight games this season.
Carlisle have had a fantastic campaign as they find themselves with a very realistic chance of securing automatic promotion with just eight games left to play.
They have, though, faltered in recent weeks having failed to win any of their last three matches, a run that has seen them drop out of the automatic promotion spots.
Their most recent game saw them fall to a disappointing 1-0 loss at Gillingham, a result that was especially deflating given Gillingham's winner came in stoppage-time.
As a result, they must now brush themselves off and attempt to approach this game with clear minds.
Their away form is not too bad on the whole having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games on the road.
Carlisle were beaten 2-3 by Leyton Orient back in October and will be looking for revenge here. Orient's form is not great so three points is on the cards here and would be invaluable as far as their promotion push is concerned.
