Mansfield and Walsall will meet at Field Mill with the home side looking to keep up their bid for a league title after brutally missing out on a spot in League One last season.
Mansfield are currently sitting in fourth in League Two, after a win on the road over Harrogate Town last time out. Lewis Brunt scored after eight minutes that day before Lucas Akins scored twice within two minutes during the second half. George Maris also scored late on in that 4-1 win.
The club are still unbeaten in League Two and have now won six games but drawn eight. This does leave them six points adrift of Stockport County in first place, but they do sit comfortably in the top four right now and remain the only side without a loss in the league.
Mansfield defeated Notts County 4-1 two weeks ago as well, where Akins netted once more after finished from Aden Flint, Baily Cargill and Louis Reed.
What's more, Mansfield also have a EFL Cup round of 16 match to look forward to next week, as they defeated Peterborough United in the third round to move into the last 16.
As for Walsall, they come into this one after two draws in a row where they tied with Newport County 3-3 away from home before securing a point at home to Crawley Town.
The club did manage to beat Gillingham Town before this in a fantastic 4-1 victory and it now leaves Walsall with five wins, five draws and five losses on the board. The have also conceded 26 goals and scored 23 of their own, meaning they do have one of the worst defensive records in the league.
