Two sides at the top of the League Two table meet this weekend as MK Dons face Notts County.
MK Dons currently sit 2nd in the League Two table with four wins and two losses from their first six games of the season.
The Dons have started the season well on the whole but a couple of defeats against unimpressive sides stand as a blemish on their record and should serve as a caveat when evaluating expectations for this season.
They're coming into this game in decent form overall having won three of their last five league matches, but having lost their most recent game 3-1 away at Crewe Alexandra there's definitely some concern for them ahead of this one.
The Dons took the lead through Jonathan Leko after just 8 minutes but a storming second half comeback saw Crewe take all three points in a deserved victory.
Both of MK Dons' defeats this season have come away from home, 2-1 against Crawley Town and 3-1 against Crewe, with their other away game ending in a narrow 3-2 win over a struggling Colchester United side.
Graham Alexander's side have been perfect when playing on their own patch and while that will likely serve them well in this game but following their opening day win at Wrexham they've been unconvincing on the road and it's something they need to try to address going forward.
On paper this is probably the toughest game The Dons have faced all season but they'll be plenty confident given they've won their last three home games on the bounce.
Notts County currently sit top of the League Two table with four wins, one draw and one loss from their first six games of the season.
Notts County were backed by many to surge towards a second consecutive promotion this season and they've started the campaign in the manner of champions having made a seamless transition to the fourth tier of English football.
They started the season horribly with a 5-1 defeat away at Sutton United but that result was quickly put in the rear view mirror and they now enter this game unbeaten in their last five league games having won their last three on the bounce.
Their most recent game saw them face off against an Accrington Stanley side that had started the season in impressive fashion and County brushed them aside in a commendable 3-1 win courtesy of goals from Daniel Crowley and Macauley Langstaff (X2).
County haven't been all that impressive away from home, mind, having won one, drawn one and lost one of their three league games on the road so far so that could very well be impactful on this weekend's result.
Avoiding defeat here will likely be a good result for Notts County and that's exactly what we think they'll do.
For our MK Dons vs. Notts County prediction, we're going for a 2-2 draw.
