Morecambe and Bradford City will meet at the Mazuma Stadium in League Two this weekend with both sides struggling in the early days of the 2023/24 season after just one win each in League One so far.
Morecambe's sole victory came in a 2-1 win at home to Walsall last time out, as the club saw Adam Mayor and Ferrend Rawson bag a goal each with the latter scoring in the final few minutes of the game.
A loss in the EFL Cup to Rotherham United would come soon after with Michael Mellon scoring his first goal of the season as the central striker, although the 1-1 draw would be followed up by a penalty shootout loss.
Morecambe went on to lose to Mansfield Town soon after in a 3-0 away loss, as Notts County would hold them to a draw at the Mazuma Stadium. The Shrimps have now scored just one goal in their past three games and are winless in the same time.
As for Bradford, they would lose to Crawley Town 1-0 in their first game of the season, as Daniel Oyegoke was also sent off in the first half. The Bantams edged past Accrington Stanley soon after, as Alex Pattison scored in a 1-1 draw before winning on penalties in the EFL Cup first round.
Bradford defeated Colchester United in their first win of the season soon after, but a 1-1 draw where Pattison scored again keeps them down in 13th after three games in League Two.
