It's arguably the biggest game of the weekend across the Football League as Leyton Orient head up north to meet with a Salford City side trying to remain inside the top seven with a topsy-turvy run of form recently.
Salford have managed to secure three 3-1 wins in recent weeks, after defeating Newport County, Doncaster Rovers and Stevenage by this scoreline. They did, however, stunningly lose in a 4-3 thriller to Crewe Alexandra in this time as well, while also drawing with Stockport County last time out.
It keeps the Greater Manchester outfit behind Bradford City by one point in the league table, although there are no games in hand to play for Salford with them playing 39 times now in the league. In this time, Salford have secured 18 wins and let in 44 goals and have scored the most goals in the division with 61 goals so far.
Salford are sitting behind Leyton Orient at the top of the table by 14 points, but they are still only behind Stevenage in third by five points and a win here would no doubt be the biggest of the season for them. On the other hand, the London side have lost just five times all season long in League Two and won 22 outings with a game in hand to play over them. In fact, they sit above Northampton Town by seven points with a game in hand to play over them too.
Richie Wellens side are coming into this one with a 1-0 win over Carlisle United last time out to further establish themselves as the best side in League Two this campaign. This did also end a run of four games in a row that saw Orient draw with Grimsby Town, Swindon Town, Colchester United and Hartlepool United.
With Salford losing only two games at home this season, if there is a side that can beat the league leaders, it;s the Ammies. However, Orient remain the best defensive side in the division with 25 goals let in, and Salford have an almighty task ahead of them.
