Sutton are looking to get off the foot of the League Two table when they play hosts to Tranmere Rovers at Gander Green Lane where the Merseyside outfit are only two places above them after dreadful starts from both.
It seems as if these two teams are going to fight relegation for the most part of the season with Sutton sitting in last place and with only three wins on the board from 17 matches. This also sees the club with the most losses on the board with 12, but Tranmere have suffered the same amount of defeats as them. Sutton have also drawn twice and now have the worst defensive record in the league with 37 let in after the 1-1 draw with Colchester United - Omar Sowunmi scored an equaliser in the dying embers that day to get his side just their's 11th point of the season.
Sutton are now, on the other hand, on a three-game unbeaten run after defeating Bradford City 2-1 three weeks ago in League Two. Josh Coley and Harry Beautyman scored goals in either half that day, but Sutton did have just two shots on target and see only 34% of the ball on home soil.
Another win came over Fylde where the club had to come from behind. Harry Smith scored twice in that game, with both goals coming within five minutes of one another during the second half of a FA Cup first round game.
As for Tranmere, they are in 22nd and only above Sutton by two points. They have only jumped above them and ahead of Forest Green Rovers in 21st because of a 3-0 win over the latter. An own goal got the ball rolling in that game, as Krisitan Dennis and Rob Apter scored a goal each in the second half of a rare win for Rovers.
