Walsall vs. Leyton Orient Prediction, Tips & Stats

For our Walsall vs. Leyton Orient prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.

Leyton Orient are looking to fend off the challenge from Stevenage at the top of League Two as they travel to face Walsall this weekend.

Walsall currently sit 13th in League Two with ten wins, eight draws and eight losses from twenty-six games this season.

The Saddlers have been in solid form form the most part this season as they find themselves strongly positioned in the league table heading into the final third of this campaign.

They do, however, find themselves amidst a poor run of form having failed to win any of their last four games in all competitions (W0 D2 L2).

In the league their form is equally concerning, too, having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five matches.

They did claim an impressive point in their most recent game, however, having drawn 0-0 away at 4th place Northampton Town.

They can at least take encouragement from the fact their home form has remained resolute despite their overall dip, with The Saddlers winning four and losing one of their last five league games on home soil.

Walsall still sit just four points outside of the play-off spots and are well placed to make a run at the top seven providing they remain within touching distance. They do need to regain their good form, though, and they'll hope their draw at Northampton will provide them with the confidence to take points from another promotion contender here.

Leyton Orient currently sit top of League Two with eighteen wins, six draws and five losses from twenty-nine games this season.

Orient have had an excellent campaign and have spent the majority of the campaign at the summit of the table, looking at one point as though they'd run away with the title. However, their form has wavered in recent months and Stevenage are now hot on their tails in 2nd place.

Leyton Orient enter this game having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five league matches, with their most recent game a 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.

The win against Wimbledon, albeit unconvincing, was a huge one for Orient as it brought an end to a three-match winless streak.

Their away form remains very concerning coming into this game with Orient having lost each of their last three consecutive games on the road having failed to win any of their last four.

This is shaping up to be a tough game for Orient despite their opponents poor form as they travel to a side with a typically strong home record. This will be a close game that feels like it could go either way.
