We have a mid-table clash in League Two this weekend as Walsall take on Newport County.
Walsall currently sit 15th in League Two with ten wins, eight draws and ten losses from twenty-eight games this season.
The Saddlers are having a pretty middling campaign in League Two this time around which is largely what was expected of them coming into the season.
They're entering this game in fairly poor form having failed to win any of their last three games in the league, but having won their prior two games by a combined scoreline of 9-2 - one of which victories came against Wrexham - so they'll hope this recent run is just a minor blip.
Their home form has remained very strong, though, with the Saddlers having gone unbeaten in their last five games on home soil having also won three of their last four.
The table is so tight in League Two it feels as though almost anyone still has a shout of a playoff place if they can put together a late run of sustained form.
There's little evidence of yet that side will be Walsall, but a win here could be the catalyst for such a a surge in form.
Newport County currently sit 13th in League Two with eleven wins, seven draws and eleven losses from twenty-nine games this season.
The Welsh side are having a fairly solid campaign this time around and are coming into this game in good shape.
They're entering this encounter amidst a good run of form having gone unbeaten in their last six games in the league, winning four of those.
Their latest outing was a 2-1 win over Swindon Town thanks to goals from Will Evans and Seb Palmer-Houlden.
The victory was a big three points for Newport and marked their third win on the bounce, meaning they now sit only three points outside of the playoff places.
Their showings away from home have been mixed, with Newport having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games on the road.
These two sides played out an entertaining 3-3 draw back in October but Newport will feel well-equipped to massively improve on that result here.
For our Walsall vs. Newport prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the home side.
