Rennes continue their push for a European spot as they face Nice in Ligue 1 this weekend.
Nice currently sit 9th in Ligue 1 with twelve wins, twelve draws and nine losses from thirty-three games this season.
Nice have had a fairly underwhelming season domestically as they find themselves strolling towards a forgettable mid-table finish.
They enter this game in poor form having won just one of their last eight matches, the most recent of which was a 1-0 win away at Troyes.
The win at Troyes was a big one for Nice as it brought an end to a seven-match winless run, and they'll now hope that they can use that result to kick on and end the season positively.
Their form at home has not been good of late either, with Nice failing to win any of their last four games on home soil while winning just one of their last seven.
Nice have nothing to play for but pride at this point as they find themselves too far, realistically, from the European places. A positive end to the season will be something the squad will be determined to secure but they face a tough test here against a side gunning for Europe.
Rennes currently sit 6th in Ligue 1 with seventeen wins, five draws and eleven losses thirty-three games this season.
Rennes have had a fine campaign as they find themselves in contention for both a Europa League spot and a Europa Conference League qualifying place.
They enter this game in fairly decent form overall having won two and lost one of their last three games, the most recent of which was a 4-2 win over Angers.
Their away form has been mixed having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games on the road, and having lost their last two on the bounce there might be some concern in that regard heading into this encounter.
Rennes beat Nice 2-1 when the two sides met back in January and they'll expect themselves to get the job done here given their opponents now have nothing left to play for.
The fact that Rennes have much more on the line than their opponents could be a huge factor in this game and the away side also enter this game in better shape than their opponents.
Their away form is not convincing but they should have too much for their opponents here.
For our Nice vs. Rennes prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
