Troyes vs. Strasbourg Prediction, Tips & Stats

Strasbourg are looking to mathematically confirm their survival in Ligue 1 this weekend as they travel to face Troyes.

Troyes are currently 19th in Ligue 1 with four wins, ten draws and twenty-one losses from thirty-five games this season.

It's been a dismal season for an already relegated Troyes side who haven't put up much of a fight in this year's relegation scrap.

They're twelves points shy of safety and have won just four times all season, barely managing to threaten to climb out of the relegation zone.

They're coming into this game in typically poor form having failed to win any of their last nineteen matches in all competitions while losing their las three in a row, the most recent of which was a 4-0 loss away at Rennes.

Their form at home has been no more impressive either, with Troyes losing their last three home games on the bounce.

It's tough to envision Troyes winning another game for the remainder of the season as they desperately crawl towards the finish line.

It's going to take some rebuild in the summer in order to whip this side into shape so their fans had better hope the board are up to it.

Strasbourg currently sit 14th in Ligue 1 with nine wins, eleven draws and fifteen losses from thirty-five games this season.

It's been a long, tough season for Strasbourg but it looks as tough a generally woeful campaign is going to have a happy ending as they now find themselves on the brink of survival.

Strasbourg looked doomed just a few weeks ago but an excellent run of form has seen them pull away from the drop zone as they enter this game won four of their last five matches.

Their most recent game saw them claim a commendable 2-0 over Nice, a result few people expected.

They've been good away from home of late too, having won both of their last two games on the road by 2-0 scorelines.

Strasbourg were actually beaten 2-3 by Troyes when the two sides met back in January, but considering Strasbourg's improved form they should make a much better fist of things here.

Knowing they need a win to confirm their status as a Ligue 1 club next season it feels as though it will be difficult for Troyes to stand in their way given their dreadful form.

Expect Strasbourg to get the job done here.

For our Troyes vs. Strasbourg prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
