Championship odds and tips for an intriguing contest on Saturday afternoon, as midtable Luton Town host struggling Cardiff City.
Luton's unlikely play-off push has just stunted and stalled in recent weeks, with just one win in the last five outings, failing to find the back of the net on each of those occasions. Nathan Jones' Hatters returned from the international with a 2-0 defeat at high-flying Queens Park Rangers last weekend before an underwhelming goalless draw at Nottingham Forest in midweek.
Returning to Kenilworth Road, where they've won three of their last five home league outings, Luton will be hoping to be more clinical with their opportunities than they were in Nottingham on Tuesday, drawing a blank despite playing the final half-hour against 10 men – with Elijah Adebayo's penalty miss after Jack Colback's second yellow proving costly. Still, Luton were organised and competitive as ever, denying Forest a single attempt on target.
Cardiff come into this off the back of a poor 1-0 home defeat to relegation rivals Hull City in midweek, falling to 20th. New boss Steve Morrison said "you get what you deserve" after the loss, but was perhaps being uncharitable - Cardiff dominated the game after the early goal, while Hull didn't register another attempt on target. Fledgling coach Morison had led the Bluebirds to back-to-back 2-1 victories against Huddersfield and Cardiff either side of the international break and will be looking to regain some momentum.
Since coming up into the Championship in 2019, Luton have lost all four of their league meetings with Cardiff, suffering a 4-0 away defeat before a 2-0 loss at Kenilworth Road in February.
