New York Red Bulls and Orlando City are right by one another in the MLS table this season ahead of a meeting at the Red Bull Arena with both sides eyeing up a spot in the top eight.
New York is just one point behind Orlando in 11th place before this one, but they have managed to dramatically turn their season around in the past five weeks. In fact, the Red Bulls were sitting bottom of the Eastern Conference just five weeks ago but have now put together a run that has seen them lose just one of their past seven games in 90 minutes.
We say in 90 minutes because they did lose to Cincinnati on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the U.S Open Cup round of 16. As well in this run, the club have managed to beat their state rivals, New York City, while also beating Montreal 2-1 and defeating Inter Miami 1-0 last time out.
As for Orlando, they have put together just one more win than New York this season and they also head into this game having two games in hand to play on most sides around them. What's more, the club have scored the same amount of goals it has conceded with 17 going in either way.
Orlando have also secured five draws and four wins this season after a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United last time out. Inter Miami also fell to a 3-1 loss to Orlando before that after the Florida outfit drew with New York City and Columbus Crew.
It will be a close game given how the form guide is very similar, but we are backing a win for New York as they are at home.
