It's a huge battle out East when two Eastern Conference giants meet in Pennsylvania with Philadelphia Union playing hosts to New York City with both sides separated by a bunch of places after a terrible run of form for NYCFC.
These two met towards the end of may and the Union ran out easy 3-1 winners. Daniel Gazdag scored once more that day and he now has nine goals in 20 games this season, while Julian Carranza scored a brace in New York back in May, although he is now suspended after a red card in the last outing - he has scored 12 goals in 21 games.
Since then, even worse for New York, the club have gone on to win only one game after a 1-0 victory over Montreal. The club drew last time out with Columbus Crew after a 1-1 draw with Charlotte.
Alongside draws with the Crew, Portland Timbers, Atlanta United, Real Salt Lake and New England Revolution, the Pigeons have won just one of their past nine games after also losing to Cincinnati.
Philadelphia defeated Nashville away from home in the last outing in what was their best away win of the season and one of the best wins of the season for last season's Eastern Conference winners. Daniel Gazdag got his eighth and ninth goal of the season that day, both of which were from the penalty spot. Julian Carranza was sent off in the 95th minute, however, and will now miss this game.
Since defeating New York, the club have lost to LA Galaxy, Atlanta United and San Jose Earthquakes and conceded nine goals in that space of time, scoring just twice. They have, however, beaten Montreal, Charlotte and Inter Miami, while also drawing with Orlando City.
Daniel Gazdag to score to is 11/4 - Gazdag scored a brace in his last match and scored in both of the last two head-to-head matches between these two sides. Philadelphia have beaten New York City 3-1 the last two times they faced each other and Philadelphia to win 3-1 is up at 16/1. Philadelphia to win and both teams to score is up at 10/3 and 2+ shots on target each team in each half is at 6/1.
