St. Louis City at the top of the Western Conference will play hosts to last-placed LA Galaxy this weekend in MLS with 16 points keeping the two apart in the table.
It's been the worst season on record for LA Galaxy at this stage in a season throughout its entire existence. In fact, with just 12 points collected so far, the club head into this game in last place in the overall table and already seven points behind the playoff spots in the Western Conference.
Worse yet, they also have the worst defensive record in the Western Conference with 27 goals let in and have recently just been knocked out of the U.S. Open Cup to Real Salt Lake who only sit four points ahead of them
As for Louis City, it's been an incredible debut season for them in MLS as they sit top of the Western Conference. they are, however, just two points above Los Angeles in third, and the latter has two games in hand to play of them too.
The club were beaten 2-0 by Dallas in the last outing, but they did manage to beat Sporting Kansas City, Vancouver Whitecaps and Houston Dynamo in this period.
