Vancouver vs. Seattle Prediction, Tips & Stats

Seattle Sounders are looking to keep the pressure on St. Louis as they face Vancouver Whitecaps in MLS this weekend.

Vancouver Whitecaps currently sit 9th MLS's Western Conference with six wins, seven draws and six losses from nineteen games so far this season.

It's been a fairly middling campaign for the Canadian side thus far this season as they face an uphill battle to secure a side in the Final Series.

They're coming into this game in fairly decent form on the whole, however, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five MLS games.

Their most recent game did, though, see the fall to a resounding 3-0 defeat away at Seattle Sounders, a defeat they'll be looking to put in the rear view mirror as quickly as possible.

They can be very encouraged by their impressive home form that's seen them go un beaten in their last five games on home soil, winning three and drawing two of those.

They'll need to lean into that home form if they're to get a result here but their opponents have wobbled notably in recent weeks so Vancouver might just feel primed to pounce.

Seattle Sounders currently sit 2nd in MLS's Western Conference with nine wins, five draws and seven losses from twenty-one matches this season.

It's been an impressive campaign for Seattle who are flying atop the Western Conference as they look to maintain their push alongside leaders St. Louis.

They're coming into this game fairly out of form, however, having won just one of their last five games having drawn three and lost one of the other four.

That win did come in their most recent game, however, where Seattle beat Houston 1-0 in a hard-fought win.

Their form away from home is a real concern though, with Seattle winning just one of their last five games on the road having taken just one point from their last there away trips.

Seattle have lost both of their last two trips to Vancouver by a combined scoreline of 4-1, with the most recent game a 2-0 defeat back in May.

Despite the fact they're in much stronger league position than their opponents Seattle look like they could be very vulnerable to defeat in this one so expect a cagey encounter.

For our Vancouver vs. Seattle prediction, we're going fro a 1-0 win for the home side.
