NS Mura and Vitesse go head-to-head at Fazanerija City Stadium in the Europa Conference League with both sides looking to get off to a good start with both Rennes and Tottenham Hotspur alongside them in Group G.
The hosts are the champions of Slovenia, but they have started slowly this season, managing just 11 points from eight matches, seeing them sit in fifth place, with their only wins coming against Celje and Olimpija via 1-0 scorelines, as well as in a 4-2 victory against Radomlje where Mitija Lotric, Amadej Marosa, Nardin Mulahusejnovic and Mihael Klepac all got on the scoresheet.
Mura were knocked down into the Europa Conference League having lost to Ludogorets in Champions League qualifiers via a 3-1 aggregate score, before being defeat by Sturm Graz 5-1 on aggregate in the Europa League playoff.
Vitesse have had a moderate start to their Dutch Eredivisie season, having won two out of their four matches so far, having beaten RKC Waalwijk 2-1 and PEC Zwolle 1-0. Their defeats include a 5-0 hammering away at Ajax and a 3-0 loss at home to Willem II. To qualify for this tournament, they beat Anderlecht 5-4 on aggregate thanks to Maximilian Wittek’s brace in the second leg of the tie which won the match 2-1.
