Two of the Premier League’s smaller teams go head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium as an in-form Bournemouth host a battling Luton Town this Saturday.
The two teams last met in January 2022, where Luton were victorious in an entertaining 3-2 match.
Both sets of teams have won two games each and have played out a single draw in the last five matches, showing the tight nature of recent fixtures between the sides.
Bournemouth are in fine form and have accumulated 19 points after 16 league games and find themselves unbeaten in five matches, winning four times. A victory this weekend could see them rise into the top half as they’re currently one of four sides tied on 19 points.
The Cherries have two consecutive clean sheets and have scored five goals in the last two games, including the surprising, yet emphatic 0-3 victory over a Manchester United side in turmoil under Erik Ten Hag.
Meanwhile, Luton Town find themselves in a relegation dogfight and occupies the final place in the relegation zone. Rob Edwards' team are four points adrift of safety but have managed two wins this season which gives them a fighting chance of survival this season.
They’ve won many plaudits for the endeavour and battling mentality, most notably the 1-2 defeat to champions Manchester City at Kenilworth Road.
The Hatters have lost four in their last five matches which has seen a tough run of fixtures, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and of course Manchester City. Their last victory came in a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on November 25.
