Marco Rose takes charge of his first home game as Bournemouth manager on Saturday, as his Bournemouth side take on Everton at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries fell to a late defeat against Manchester City last time out at the Etihad Stadium, after Marcus Tavernier had put Bournemouth ahead in the first half.
Bournemouth could see that game as a missed opportunity, given how Manchester City were effectively out of the game until Marc Guehi's equaliser for the Citizens. The two league meetings between the two sides last season, saw each side take three points off one another and so we can see Bournemouth and Everton cancelling each other out in this fixture.
At Bournemouth, the home side has the advantage in this fixture with four wins from five but the Toffees appear to be better prepared for this fixture but will still be wary of the poor record they have at the Vitality Stadium.
As for Everton, the Toffees have made a fine start to the season under David Moyes, with two wins from two against Crystal Palace (2-0) and Preston North End (0-3) in league and cup respectively.
One player, who could be the standout in this fixture is French striker, Thierno Barry. The Everton frontman has cut a frustrated figure during his time with the Toffees, with Beto playing the main starting role for periods last season. However, the start Barry has made to his campaign has been excellent with four goals in his opening two games, including a hat-trick against Preston North End in midweek.
