Brentford vs Crystal Palace Prediction, Tips & Stats

Another London derby takes place this Saturday in the Premier League as Brentford take on Crystal Palace at 3pm with the Bees now up into eighth after a fantastic point last time out as the Eagles come into this one winless in the past few games.

For all of Brentford's excellence this season and since the World Cup, it's been a struggle for Palace. The Eagles are winless since defeating Bournemouth 2-0 away from home towards the end of December, as they were hammered by Tottenham Hotspur soon after, just before losing in the FA Cup third round to Southampton.

They have, however, got draws against Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United from the top six, but by also losing to Chelsea, it's now seven games without a win and a winless 2023 so far for Palace. Brentford are heading into this one off the back of a fantastic run of form that has seen them rocket into the top 10 and sit above Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Bees drew 1-1 with Brentford last weekend, as Ivan Toney's controversial goal snatched a point from the Emirates. The club also beat Southampton 3-0 and drew with Leeds Untied 0-0 after beating Bournemouth 2-0. Before this, they lost to West Ham United in the FA Cup and now sit without a loss in their past six games and are unbeaten in 2023.

Ivan Toney 2+ shots on target is boosted to 6/4 here - Toney had 2 shots on target against Arsenal in his last match. Bryan Mbeumo to score is also at 4/1 - Mbeumo scored in his last home match and is Brentford's second highest goal scorer this season so far. Odsonne Edouard to score first and Either Crystal Palace 2-1 or Crystal Palace 3-1 is the Scorecast Boost at 80/1.

          Crystal Palace team news

Wilfried Zaha remains injured and has been missed greatly by Palace so far. He will return towards the end of the month, so Eze and Oloise will likely start once more. Will Hughes is nearing a return but is not ready to do so here, as Chris Richards faces a late fitness test alongside Joachim Andersen. The two injured defenders are giving Patrick Vieira a huge headache right now. Joel Ward is also out of action, while Nathan Ferguson is out still but nears a return.

          Brentford team news

Brentford are relatively OK on the injury front and have only Pontus Jansson and Thomas Strakosha out injured. They will, however, be back in action soon, so expect near enough the same team that started against Arsenal, as Ivan Toney eyes up Harry Kane in the Premier League goalscoring charts.
