Brighton and Hove Albion are separated by just a handful of points ahead of a midweek clash in the Premier League that sees the Seagulls heading into this clash at the AMEX quite desperate for a win.
It's been a topsy-turvy season for Brighton so far in the Premier League, and for all their excellent efforts in the Europa League, they sit with eight points fewer this season compared to the last after 14 games. The Seagulls lost to Chelsea last time out in a thrilling 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge, as Facundo Buonanotte scored in the first half before Joao Pedro netted in extra time to bring one back.
It now leaves Roberto De Zerbi's side on just 22 points and now seven behind the top four. Worse yet, De Zerbi's side are above Brentford down in 11th by just three points.
As for the Bees, their tough start to the season has been forgotten about with a much better run since the start of October. Unlike Brighton, they have managed to win 2-0 at Stamford Bridge during this period, while they've also managed to beat Burnley and Luton Town in the past few weeks.
