Brighton vs Brentford Prediction, Tips & Stats

Brighton and Hove Albion are separated by just a handful of points ahead of a midweek clash in the Premier League that sees the Seagulls heading into this clash at the AMEX quite desperate for a win.

It's been a topsy-turvy season for Brighton so far in the Premier League, and for all their excellent efforts in the Europa League, they sit with eight points fewer this season compared to the last after 14 games. The Seagulls lost to Chelsea last time out in a thrilling 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge, as Facundo Buonanotte scored in the first half before Joao Pedro netted in extra time to bring one back.

It now leaves Roberto De Zerbi's side on just 22 points and now seven behind the top four. Worse yet, De Zerbi's side are above Brentford down in 11th by just three points.

As for the Bees, their tough start to the season has been forgotten about with a much better run since the start of October. Unlike Brighton, they have managed to win 2-0 at Stamford Bridge during this period, while they've also managed to beat Burnley and Luton Town in the past few weeks.

          Brighton team news

Brighton have been destroyed by injuries this season and it is a great reason why they have struggled for consistency in the Premier League alongside their Europa League glories. Pervis Estupinan has struggled for fitness this season and it out until January. Tariq Lamptey is also out until around this period, while Ansu Fati may be out until around March, which is a shame given his form on loan from Barcelona. Julio Espinola is also out of action in this one, while Danny Welebck will be out until after Christmas. Mahmoud Dahoud is suspended and won't feature until the weekend, and the same applies for captain Lewis Dunk. Adam Webster is out with a knock, while Solly March won't come back until the new year.

          Brentford team news

Rico Henry is out for the season, but we are just five gameweeks away from seeing the return of Ivan Toney for Brentford, as his suspension for betting keeps him out until mid-January. Aaron Hickey and Kevin Schade are out until January, but Nathan Collins is nearing a return, as is Mikkel Damsgaard. Christian Norgaard is out with a s suspension after five yellow cards before the new year, while Joshua Dasilva is out of action for this one. Mathias Jensen won't feature here too, but should do at the weekend.
