Brighton vs Fulham Prediction

Brighton versus Fulham will be a closely-fought contest in the Premier League, especially when considering that both of these sides enter this game off the back of superb FA Cup victories against Newcastle United and Manchester United.

The Seagulls are arguably favourites for this match as they have won all of their last five matches across all competitions and sit one point ahead of the Cottagers in eighth-place. However, they haven’t won any of their last five head-to-head matches with Marco Silva’s men which could be something to consider.

We’re backing Brighton to win this game with the Both Teams to Score market to land due to Albion’s excellent form of late - the Both Teams to score market has landed in three of the home side’s last five matches as well as in four of Fulham’s last five games.

Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Fulham

Brighton vs Fulham Prediction & Preview

Brighton & Hove Albion hosts Fulham in what is set to be an entertaining Premier League clash between eighth and ninth in the standings.

Date: 08/03/2025

Location: Amex Stadium

Time: 3pm

The last meeting between these two sides back in December resulted in a 3-1 victory for Fulham at Craven Cottage as an Alex Iwobi brace and an own goal from Matt O’Riley have the Cottagers all three points after Carlos Baleba had equalised for the Seagulls in the 56th-minute of the game.

Fabian Hurzeler’s men are having another impressive campaign, as they managed to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals on Sunday via a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United. The Albion had previously defeated Chelsea (2-1) and Norwich City (4-0) in previous rounds.

Brighton’s League Cup campaign was less successful, as they were defeated by finalists Liverpool 3-2 at the Amex Stadium after beating Wolves (3-2) and Crawley Town (4-0).

In terms of their league campaign, Brighton are eighth in the division with 46 points to their name after 27 matches and sit just five points behind third-place Nottingham Forest, showing just how tight the top half of the table is, meaning that every victory could prove crucial in the race for European football.

As previously mentioned, Fulham sit just one point behind the hosts in ninth-place, as they bid for their best-ever Premier League finish having finished seventh in the 2008/09 league standings with 53 points.

The Cottagers managed to defeat Manchester United at Old Trafford to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and will face Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage in the quarter-finals. Silva’s men had managed to beat Wigan (2-1) and Watford (4-1) in previous rounds.

Like Brighton, Fulham’s League Cup campaign wasn’t much to shout about, as after their 2-0 win over Birmingham City in the Second Round, they suffered a 16-15 penalty shootout defeat to Preston North End in the Third Round.

Where to Watch

Form Guide

Brighton

As previously mentioned, Brighton have won all of their last five matches heading into this fixture, with their most recent victory coming on Sunday as they beat Newcastle United 2-1 at St. James’ Park in Fifth Round of the FA Cup thanks to a 114th-minute winner from ex-Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck.

Prior to that game, the Albion had beaten South Coast rivals AFC Bournemouth 2-1 after thrashing Southampton 4-0, while also defeating Chelsea 3-0 in the Premier League and 2-1 in the FA Cup.

Fulham

Fulham earned an impressive 4-3 penalty shootout win at Old Trafford in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup as Bernd Leno made saves against Victor Lindelof and Joshua Zirkzee in the shootout. In the game itself, Calvin Bassey had given Fulham a 46th-minute lead before Bruno Fernandes equalised with just 19-minutes to go in normal time.

The Cottagers had previously managed 2-1 victories over Wolves and Nottingham Forest on either side of a 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace, while prior to all of those matches, they earned a 2-1 FA Cup win at Wigan Athletic.
