One of the games of the weekend and arguably the season sees two of the Premier League's most in-form sides aiming to return to the win column with Brighton & Hove Albion welcoming Liverpool to the AMEX.
Both these sides were in Europa League action during the week, and despite a fairly comfortable 2-0 win at Anfield for the Reds against Union Saint-Gilloise, they did have to work for it at times and struggled to break down the Belgian Pro League side. In the end, Ryan Gravenbach scored his first Liverpool goal, as Diogo Jota added a second in the second half.
As for Brighton, they went 2-0 down away to Marseille, and it was beginning to look as if the European stage was too much for Roberto De Zerbi's men. However, A goal in the second half from Pascal Gross and a late penalty from Joao Pedro earned the Seagulls a vital point after losing their first Europa League game at home to AEK Athens.
On the other hand, this doesn't rule out the fact that Brighton head into this game with two losses in a row, after a defeat to Chelsea in the EFL Cup and a stunning 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Aston Villa last time out.
As for Liverpool, they were beaten by Spurs 2-1, but the result far from told the story of that one. Luis Diaz's ruled out VAR goal will no doubt go down in Premier League history as arguably the worst VAR call we've ever seen, but this results in Joel Matip scoring an own goal in the 96th minute to seal all three points for Spurs.
