Brighton & Hove Albion's quest for a European spot continue this weekend as they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League this weekend.
Brighton currently sit 8th in the Premier League with fourteen wins, seven draws and nine losses from thirty games this season.
The Seagulls have had an outstanding campaign this time out and they hope to put the disappointment of the FA Cup semi-final penalty shootout defeat to Manchester United behind them as they push for a European place in the league.
Things did not get off to great start, though, with Roberto De Zerbi's side losing 3-1 at struggling Nottingham Forest during the week, a very disappointing result.
In fairness, The Seagulls have some high profile injury issues with star striker Evan Ferguson and right-back Joel Veltman out injured with Danny Welbeck also not at full fitness following a knock at the weekend.
As such, Brighton were forced to start winger/attacking midfielder Julio Enciso up top against Forest and it did not bear fruit.
Brighton have now lost three of their last four games in a run their fans will be hoping is not foreshadowing a late season decline after such a fantastic campaign.
They still have the quality to end the season excellently and they've not played badly in any of their three recent losses, especially against Tottenham Hotspur where they were denied a win by poor refereeing, so there's plenty of cause for optimism heading into this game.
Wolverhampton Wanderers currently sit 13th in the Premier League with ten wins, seven draws and sixteen losses from thirty-three games this season.
Wolves had a terrible start to the campaign but have recovered nicely following the appointment of Julen Lopetegui, with the Spaniard guiding them to safety with several games to spare.
They're not mathematically safe but it would take something monumental for them to be relegated after a run of three wins in their last four games has taken them to thirty-seven points.
Their most recent game saw them claim a very commendable 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, an excellent result considering Palace were bang in-form heading into that game.
The result also marked their third clean sheet in four games, something their success this season has been predicated upon.
Their form away from home is a big concern coming into this game though, with Wolves failing win any of their last five games on the road while winning just one of their last ten.
Wolves were beaten 2-3 by Brighton back in November so they'll want to get revenge here, but given their awful away form three points feels unlikely.
