Two improving sides go head-to-head on Saturday evening as Chelsea play host to West Ham. The Blues have won five of their last six matches in all competitions, and new manager Liam Rosenior has started his tenure on a really positive note. West Ham have won their last three games in league and cup under the stewardship of Nuno Espirito Santo, after going 10 games without a victory.
Chelsea smashed West Ham 5-1 when the pair met for August's reverse league meeting, but we're predicting a much closer and more competitive 90 minutes on Saturday. Chelsea have scored at least two goals in five of their last six matches, but have also only managed to keep two clean sheets during that period. West Ham have managed to score at least one goal in five of their last six outings, but the Hammers have conceded at least two goals in five of their last nine games.
Chelsea have the home advantage and, on paper, should be winning this game, but we expect West Ham to arrive with plenty of confidence, which should make for a close and competitive encounter. We've backed Chelsea to come out on top simply due to their scoring power compared to that of their guests.
Chelsea 2-1 West Ham
