Two teams in bad form clash in the Premier League this weekend with Craven Cottage opening its door to Aston Villa and Fulham as the Villains aim to get back to winning ways after a three-game losing run at home.
Unai Emery's excellent run of form this season has taken a hit in the past few games, as they managed to lose 3-1 to both Newcastle United and Chelsea at Villa Park - Ollie Watkins and Moussa Diaby were the goalscorers in the Midlands on those games.
Douglas Luiz looked to have also got a point against Manchester United last time out with Emery's side the better side than the Red Devils. However, a late finish from Scott McTominay won it for United.
Despite the terrible run of form away from home, Villa are coming into this one with a solid run away from home. After a 0-0 draw with Everton at Goodison Park, Emery's men managed to smash Sheffield United 5-0 at Bramall Lane with a stunning 4-0 lead at half time thanks to Youri Tielemans, Leon Bailey, Watkins and John McGinn. Alex Moreno also scored two minutes into the second half to hand Villa a 5-0 win that day.
Villa are now sitting fifth in the table after their poor run of form at home. It does still leave them without just one point of Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place, while Villa are also only ahead of United by five points now.
As for Fulham, their mediocre season continued last time out with eight wins on the board now and 39 goals conceded too after a 3-1 win over Bournemouth that saw Rodrigo Muniz bag a brace after Bobby Decordova-Reid netted the opening goal.
Fulham did end a six-game losing run since beating Rotherham United in the FA Cup third round at home as a result, whiile it was also their first Premier League win since defeating Arsenal 2-1 on New Year's Eve.
Marco Silva's men are to within just five points of their west London rivals Chelsea as a result of their win over Bournemouth and they are also now 10 points ahead of the relegation zone, and in truth, should not get dragged into the battle to survive.
