An all-London affair goes down at the 3pm games on the second weekend of the Premier League season with Fulham taking on Brentford at Craven Cottage after the Cottagers edged past Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
Fulham were not at their best in their 1-0 win over Everton on the opening set of games. The club could have been a handful of goals down in the game and saw the likes of Neal Maupay miss an array of chances throughout the clash.
In the end, it was Bobby De Cordova-Reid who scored the winning goal with 11 minutes left on the clock for Fulham at Goodison Park, although Marco Silva's mem did concede nine shots on target that day with them having just two of their own after Everton's 19 efforts towards goal.
As for Brentford, they drew for the third game in a row after draws in preseason, although the club did look at their attacking best once more against Tottenham Hotspur in the opening game. Bryan Mbeumo took on the penalty duty in replace of Ivan Toney, as he remains suspended. Yoane Wissa would give Brentford a 2-1 lead at one stage in the game, but an equaliser from Spurs forced a 2-2 draw.
