Newcastle have been strong in their own backyard this season, picking up seven wins from a possible 11. The Magpies have scored at least two goals in nine of their league games at St James' Park, where they are unbeaten since September. Eddie Howe's side have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their last seven home games in the Premier League, and we're not expecting Newcastle to improve on that record this weekend against high-flying Aston Villa.
Newcastle played out a goalless draw at Villa Park earlier in the campaign, and the Magpies haven't lost at home against Aston Villa over 20-years, 2005 to be exact. The Magpies have won each of their last four home games against Sunday's guests, so you can see why we're backing Newcastle to come out on top this weekend.
Aston Villa have picked up their fair share of wins on teh road this season, five in teh Premier League. However, the Midlands club are without a win in their last two away trips, having drawn with Crystal Palace and lost heavily against Arsenal. Both teams have scored, and over 2.5 goals have been produced in five of Aston Villa's last six away games.
Newcastle 2-1 Aston Villa
