Newcastle United versus Chelsea will be a difficult game to call and should be a close encounter between two sides firmly in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification.
The Magpies have been excellent in the Premier League, with five wins from their last seven league matches, with their only moment of weakness being the 4-0 defeat against Aston Villa. At home, Eddie Howe’s side have been tremendous, with Newcastle United winning their last five Premier League matches at St. James’ Park.
Chelsea are also in great form across all competitions, with the Blues having won their last five games and are also unbeaten in their last six league matches. Interestingly though, Enzo Maresca’s side have been lacklustre away from home in the Premier League, with four defeats from their last six games on the road.
In this fixture, the Blues have not kept a clean sheet in the last eight meetings between the two sides, with both teams scoring in six of the last seven matches between the two. Chelsea have also lost four of their last six trips to Newcastle, and we think it will be five losses from seven on Sunday.
