Nottingham Forest will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the City Ground this weekend with Steve Cooper's men aiming to make it five unbeaten games in a row during the Premier League on home soil.
Forest's form has been excellent so far at home and they sit with better record on their own patch than the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United. On the other hand, three of these five unbeaten games have been draws, as they drew with burnley, Brentford and Luton Town throughout September and October.
They did also lose to Burnley in the EFL Cup second round back at the end of August, while their other wins at the City Ground came against Sheffield United midway through August and three weeks ago in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa that saw Ola Aina and Orel Mangala score a goal each.
Such results put them eight points above the bottom three and with just a three-point gap on Chelsea in 10th. Forest have now won just three games, drawn four and lost five and let in 18 while scoring 14 of their own.
Brighton have had another decent start to the season, but with just five wins from 12 matches, they are coming into this one with 21 goals conceded - only West Ham have more in the top half, while only Luton and Bournemouth have more outside of the relegation zone too. The Seagulls are adrift of fifth place by six points heading into this game and have drawn with Sheffield United in their last outing at home, and with further 1-1 draws against Everton and Fulham alongside losses to Manchester City and Aston Villa and another draw with Liverpool, it now means seven games without a win in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, form in Europe has looked much better, beating Ajax home and away by a 2-0 scoreline and sitting behind Marseille in Group B by only one point after a 2-2 draw with the Ligue 1 side in France. With AEK Athens away and Marseille at home to come, Brighton should be favoured to get into the knockout rounds of the Europe League.
