Nottingham Forest are aiming to get back to winning ways after a loss at home to Newcastle United keeps them hovering just above the relegation zone with West Ham United also aiming to swiftly move on from a dreadful result.
West Ham come into this game having put together a terrible two-game losing run and no wins since their famous win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium back in late December. Ironically, it was the Gunners who managed to get the win over them last time out, as former Hammer, Declan Rice, was amongst the goals in a 6-0 thumping at the London Stadium.
David Moyes' men did manage to beat Arsenal back at the Emirates, however, but with a 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, a 1-1 draw with Bristol City and a loss to them in the FA Cup replay, West Ham put together a three-game losing run thereafter.
Sheffield United would also get a draw with them soon after, as Bournemouth did the same to them as well. Manchester United handed West Ham their seventh Premier League defeat of the season before they managed to record their eighth loss of the league season with Arsenal's 6-0 win.
It has moved Moyes' men down into eighth with just 36 points on the board and 10 wins, while they are now behind Aston Villa in fifth by 10 points. In reality, with Man United's improved form and the superiority on the sides above West Ham, the Hammers are likely only going to get back in Europe for a fourth season in a row if they manage to win the Europa League this season.
Forest also lost again last time out, and ironically, they also beat Newcastle United back at St. James' Park before a 3-2 loss last weekend, just as West Ham did the same across two games with Arsenal.
Forest are sitting just two points above the relegation zone now after putting together only five wins and suffering 13 losses from 24 games. Worse yet, Luton Town now have a game in hand over them in 17th.
