Internazionale continue their battle for top spot in Group D of the Champions League as they face Benfica this week.
Benfica currently sit rock bottom of Group D with four losses from four games so far.
The Portuguese side have had a nightmare campaign in Europe this time around, something that has come to the surprise of many.
Their European struggles have been non-existent domestically, though, as they lead the Primeira Liga at the top of the table with their form currently very good having won four of their last five games.
Most recently, Benfica claimed a comfortable 2-0 win over Famalicão having beaten Sporting CP 2-1 in their last game prior to that.
They're unbeaten at home in the league so far having won all but one of their games on home soil but they've lost both of their home matches in this competition without scoring a single goal - an apt summation of the contrast between Benfica in the Primeira Liga and Benfica in the Champions League.
Benfica made what most people thought were excellent additions to their squad over the summer so this season's European struggles are a huge surprise, especially considering the fact they were drawn into a pretty favourable group on paper.
Instead, they've been eliminated from the Champions League with two games to spare with only a Europa League spot left to fight for. They'll want that no doubt, however, and given they're three points behind RB Salzburg in 3rd they need at least a point here to keep that hope alive.
Internazionale currently sit 2nd in Group D with three wins and one draw from four games.
Last season's runners-up are having a solid campaign this time around once more having already sealed their spot in the last 16 but they'll want to wrestle top spot out of Real Sociedad's hands in order to (hopefully) get a kinder draw in the next round.
They're entering this game in good form overall as they come into this one top of Serie A and unbeaten in their last ten games, winning eight of those.
Their most recent game saw them held to a 1-1 draw away at Juventus, a decent result considering Juve are proving themselves to be a much-improved outfit from last season.
They've also been excellent away from home this season having not lost a single game on the road in all competitions, winning six of their eight outings.
Given how weak the field is in this competition Inter will really fancy their chances of making their way to another final and with little left to play for in this group they can approach this game in a much more relaxed manner.
For our Benfica vs. Inter prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
